Letter from the Editors Dear Reader, Fiction can do a lot of different things. When we're comfortable (or even complacent), it can warn us about the problems we may be ignoring. When we're chest-deep in a pungent swamp of bad news (like now), it can provide a welcome escape, hope, and even inspiration about how we might overcome the darkness. This month's contributions are a mixture of all those things. For this quarter, we are happy to present to you: Gabriel Vane's Carnival Extraordinaire by Kate Everett -- You don't need a ticket.
