Howe, Matthew
Matthew Howe has spent the last decade working professionally in film and TV. Besides selling more than a dozen low-budget screenplays, Matthew has written ten prime-time documentaries for The History Channel and The Discovery Channel, including Carrier: City of Steel, Tank School, and Submarine: Hidden Hunter. Original Sins, an ultra low-budget horror feature Matthew co-wrote and co-produced was hailed by noted genre author Ramsey Campbell thusly: "...Sins displays an imagination and daring seldom seen in horror films today... It's an outrageous delight." Film is Hell, a comedic memoir of Matthew's days as a run and gun desperado filmmaker was published by Laurelton Media in 2010 and is available at Amazon and Barnes & Noble. Matthew is also an avid concert photographer.
Hoffman, Nina Kiriki
Over the past twenty-some years, Nina Kiriki Hoffman has sold adult and YA novels and more than 250 short stories. Her works have been finalists for the World Fantasy, Mythopoeic, Sturgeon, Philip K. Dick, and Endeavour awards. Her first novel, THE THREAD THAT BINDS THE BONES, won a Stoker award, and her short story "Trophy Wives" won a Nebula Award in 2009. Her novel FALL OF LIGHT came out from Ace in May, 2009. Her middle-school novel THRESHOLDS will come out from Viking in August, 2010. Nina does production work for the Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction. She also works with teen writers. She lives in Eugene, Oregon, with several cats and many strange toys and imaginary friends. Filipek, Steele Tyler
Steele Tyler Filipek is the author of several short stories of speculative fiction, published in such places as Aphelion, The Fantasy Gazetteer, Phalanx, and others. In addition, he works as a Transmedia Producer/Writer for Starlight Runner Entertainment, has written several children's books, and had plays produced in the United States and England. Filipek was born in Pittsburgh but now resides in New York, where he likes to brew, watch hockey, and have a good time.
Hart, Kendall R.
Kendall R. Hart is a professional illustrator, graphic designer and sculptor. After attending his first sci-fi/fantasy convention he eventually left his day job in pursuit of becoming a full-time artist. He has since contributed to author Shane Moore's Abyss Walker world (as well as designing his website www.abysswalker.com), sculpted his first production statue for iHero Entertainment and was graphic designer on the graphic novel Yesterday Was A Lie. He is currently producing concept art for a horror film and a toy line, designing haunted attractions and sculpting a life-size werewolf for the St. Louis haunt industry. He resides in Darkest West Central Illinois with a pair of Pembroke Welsh Corgis where he plays bass in two classic rock cover bands. Peeler, Nicole
Nicole D. Peeler received an undergraduate degree in English Literature from Boston University, and a Ph.D. in English Literature from the University of Edinburgh, in Scotland. Currently, she resides outside Pittsburgh, to teach in Seton Hill's MFA in Popular Fiction. When she's not in the classroom infecting young minds with her madness, she's writing the Tempest Rising Urban Fantasy series and taking pleasure in what means most to her: family, friends, food, and travel.

j.a. kazimer has won a number of fiction awards including the 2008 Paul Gillette Memorial Award, the 2008 Speculative Fiction Colorado Gold Award, and the 2010 SF/F/H Pikes Peak Award. Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, j.a. escaped at a young age, and now lives and writes in Denver, Colorado. Books include, The Junkie Tales (Obscure Publishing, 2010), & The Body Dwellers (Solstice Publishing, 2011). Forthcoming books include, CURSES! Barth Anderson is the author of THE PATRON SAINT OF PLAGUES and THE MAGICIAN AND THE FOOL. Barth's short works have appeared in Asimov's Science Fiction, Talebones, Strange Horizons, as well as other magazines and anthologies. He's received several Honorable Mentions in the Year's Best Fantasy and Horror, and he won the Spectrum Award for Best Short Fiction in 2004. He lives in Minneapolis with his wife and two children.
Neville, Stuart
Stuart Neville is the award-winning author of The Twelve, scheduled for European release in 2009 and for US release in October 2009 as The Ghosts of Belfast. This debut novel follows a paramilitary assassin from The Troubles goaded by the ghosts of his victims into committing revenge killings. During the course of the story, we learn in shuddering detail what Fegan did to deserve such a fate, as well as what he must do to find the bloody sort of peace only a killer can achieve.
Kadrey, Richard
Richard Kadrey is a freelance writer living in San Francisco. He is the author of dozens of stories, plus five novels, including Sandman Slim (buy), Metrophage (buy) and Butcher Bird (buy/download). His Wired magazine cover story, Carbon Copy, was made into one of the worst movies of 2001. It starred Bridget Fonda. Sorry, Bridget. He has been immortalized as an action figure. Kadrey created and wrote the Vertigo comics mini-series ACCELERATE, which was illustrated by the Pander Brothers. He plans to do more comic work in the near future. He has written and spoken about art, culture and technology for Wired, The San Francisco Chronicle, Discovery Online, The Site, SXSW and Wired For Sex on the G4 cable network. He is also a fetish photographer and digital artist. Richard has no qualifications for anything he does.
Stein, Jeanne
Jeanne Stein is the bestselling author of "The Anna Strong Chronicles". Her novels include The Becoming, Blood Drive, The Watcher, Legacy, Retribution, and the brand new Chosen. He also has a new graphic novel Killing the Cobra: Chinatown Trollop. Mario is very active in the writing community, belonging to several writers groups including Lighthouse Writers and Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers (RMFW). He's the current president of the Rocky Mountain chapter of Mystery Writers of America. In 2009 he was named RMFW's Writer of the Year. Among other awards, The Nymphos of Rocky Flats was named by Barnes & Noble as one of the Best Paranormal Fantasy Novels of 2000-2009.
Gunn, James E.
University of Kansas English Professor Emeritus James E. Gunn, author of such books as The Joy Makers, The Listeners, Alternate Worlds: The Illustrated History of Science Fiction, Isaac Asimov: The Foundations of Science Fiction (1983 Hugo Award),The Science of Science-Fiction Writing, and Gift from the Stars, was chosen to be the 2007 Damon Knight Memorial Grand Master by the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America for a lifetime's achievement in science fiction and/or fantasy. He's a past president of the Science Fiction Writers of America and of the Science Fiction Research Association. He's won many awards, for a variety of accomplishments including literary achievement and excellence in teaching. He founded the J. Wayne and Elsie M. Gunn Center for the Study of Science Fiction, and helped found AboutSF.
